THE CHALLENGE

For a leading care provider in the UK, the 4D Team project managed the delivery of an integrated, Cloud based IT platform combining multiple 3rd party systems and the provision of on-going business analytics and system support on a substantially lower cost base.
 

DIAGNOSIS

The client faced an urgent business challenge following an IT implementation project which was failing to meet user acceptance requirements. Significant disruption was anticipated, potentially exposing the business to compliance risks and financial costs.

DEVELOPMENT

  The 4D Team quickly established a cross-functional team and scoped out an IT recovery project to replace the 'off-the-shelf' business system.
  An internal Customer Experience survey was designed and executed to determine root cause user experience issues and system faults.  A prioritised implementation programme was developed to provide immediate relief.
  4D redesigned a custom business system that met and exceeded end user specifications, which in turn led to the full engagement of internal users and other stakeholders and a substantially reduced implementation timeline.
  Optimised business processes were created, with end users and internal system champions selected and engaged early in development stage. This led to full ownership of the ensuing process change and stakeholder buy-in.
  Business process insights were applied to the design and the set up of a back office support infra-structure drastically reduced support costs while maintaining user experience.

  The recovery project was delivered on time and on budget within 10 weeks of the 4D's Team engagement and a multi phase implementation roadmap was developed.
  A fully customised business system was delivered at 40% of comparable UK market rates leading to substantial costs savings.
  Highly engaged end users led to quick adoption of the new system and eliminated compliance risks resulting from gaps in record keeping.
  Ongoing cost effective system support was delivered offering 24/7 helpdesk and tailored analytics, freeing up local management to focus on improving the care business.
